Online Video: A tipping point

Last night the topic of #retechchat was using video in real estate. Drew Meyers, who hosts the event, did a great job stirring up the conversation and keeping it rolling. There was an obvious interest in the topic, as there should be. Real estate estate is one of those industries where images and narrative are a natural fit.

In January 2011 I curated a conversation for Real Estate Connect New York about video with Amy Kane, Senior Vice President, Houlihan Lawrence and Christian Sterner, Co-Founder & CEO, WellcomeMat. Reading the questions and ideas at the #retechchat made me think it would be great to share the conversation with a wider audience.

One of the concepts that comes through in this conversation was the idea that different kinds of video content has different requirements in terms of video quality, narrative quality and sometimes distribution. This is something that’s true in any industry approaching video.

Thank you to Inman News for giving me permission to share this video with you. If you enjoy it, consider coming to the Real Estate Connect San Francisco conference where I will be curating an afternoon of conversations about insight generation, technology and other geeky fun stuff.
