“100 Days of” Project

Hello! This is my holding page for the #100daysof project. Here’s the skinny:

• This is one of those “let’s everybody do something and tell others and then let’s do it for awhile” internet projects.
• It was started by Elle Luna and spurred on by The Great Discontent.
• It’s based on Michael Bierut’s Yale course on design.
• I suspect most people are focused on visual projects (especially since Instagram is the lead network promoted).
• My project is, however, focused on sound.

If you are here, you will get the list of … 100 days of bass. A new simple bass line every day for 100 days. The goal isn’t completed/polished work but to simply just do something. So expect to hear some ugly.

If you aren’t a music maker this entire project might bore the hell out of you so don’t go sifting through looking for your favorites–you might not find any!

If you are a music maker, I’m planning on doing just straight ahead simple lines and repeating them for about 2 minutes.

I’m hosting them on Soundcloud with some simple drum backing (if you have drum or other instrument backing tracks you’d like me to use please send a link!). Feel free to download this stuff and use it however you like. Just let me know where you used it so I can link to your project. When I’m all done  I might go back, clean them up, and make 2 minute “loops” from them so people can have some subtly varying bass parts to use in their productions.
